Molly Brown House Museum
Historic Denver’s Molly Brown House Museum is among the most visited historic sites in the state of Colorado, and one of only a handful of sites nationally dedicated to the interpretation of a woman’s story. Open for more than 43 years, the Museum serves nearly 50,000 people every year, including 10,000 youth, successfully achieving its mission to enhancing the city’s unique identity by telling the story of Margaret “Molly” Brown’s activism, philanthropy and passion through educational programs, exhibits and stewardship.
A must see when you are here is our beautiful state capitol. It is located on 200 E Colfax Ave, Denver Co 80203. They have free tours daily, to see if there are any available during your stay click on the picture and it will take you to the capitol website. Best part about our capitol when standing on a certain step you are exactly a mile high above sea level.
You don't want to miss checking out our newly renovated Union Station. It is elegant inside and out. The new and improved Union Station offers many new dining options that are out of this world. It also boasts an up and coming night life. Stop by for a drink or tour the grand hallways, whatever you choose to do it will definitely leave you in awe.
Denver Botanic Gardens
Summer time or winter time there is always something to do at the Denver Botanic Gardens. If you are visiting in the summer make sure to check out their concert schedules, and if visiting in the winter make sure to check out the amazing blossoms of light. This is a great place to go either for a couple hours or make a whole day of it and take a picnic.
Denver Art Museum
When staying at the Historic Patterson Inn, a must see is our Denver Art Museum. Located just blocks away, what a great way to spend the day then exploring this magnificent building. While there why not grab a bite to eat at their amazing restaurant Palettes.
Museum of Nature and Science
If you are into nature and or science or both this would be a great place for you to visit while you are here. The Museum of Nature and Science has it all. They always have great exhibits that come and go. The museum has a wonderful planetarium and I-Max theater for the kids at heart.
For the animal lover in us all, why not visit the Denver Zoo. Make it a half day or a full day trip, either way there is much to see. Situated in the heart of Denver it is a great local attraction. They always seem to have new borns, so if you do visit make sure to check out their nursery. When there make sure not to pass up the Toyota elephant passage. Recently redone it is a great way to spend an afternoon.
